If you think of the past year which celebrities come to mind as the most influential? First, let’s take a quick glimpse at the Time 100. It’s an annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the world compiled by the magazine. The final list is chosen by the editors at Time. Multiple nominees include Oprah Winfrey and President Barack Obama.
This year’s list has been compiled by the editors and they saw fit to give Beyonce a cover. How could you not? Beyonce had a huge year with her mega world tour and her secret album launch. The Mrs. Carter World Tour has generated hundred of millions of dollars and her latest album has been a wild success setting all types of download records. It certainly doesn’t hurt her cause that her husband, Jay Z, has also been wildly successful.
Beyonce wasn’t the only ‘Most Influential’ to land a cover. Others getting a cover bid include Robert Redford, Jason Collins, and General Motors CEO Mary Barra. Some notables to make the list include Miley Cyrus (obviously), Pharrell Williams, Seth Meyers and Amy Adams.
There’s no doubt that Beyonce deserves to be recognized for her incredible work and influence the past year. The same can’t be said for everyone who made the list.
